Magnetic Mathematical Manipulatives

Each of the members of our family of magnetic manipulatives is primarily intended for use with metallic dry-erase boards. They are easily placed and moved about on a white board. You can write on them with dry-erase markers and erase them with the same eraser you use for the board. The individual size tiles stick to any metallic surface (white boards, filing cabinets, desks, or even old cookie sheets). This fact makes them much easier to distribute and collect than plastic or paper tiles. It also means they’re less likely to be vacuumed out of your room by the custodian

CSAT - Classroom Size Algebra Tiles – A set of 72 separate magnetic algebra tiles intended for classroom presentations on a white/dry-erase board These tiles are large enough to be seen by students sitting in the back row.

CSATY - Classroom Size Algebra Tiles Y Supplement – This set of magnetic tiles is meant to augment the standard set with “Y” tiles for lessons that require both X and Ys. This set includes 48 tiles. (14 pos Y’s, 14 neg Y’s, 6 pos Y²’s, 6 neg Y²’s, 4 pos XY and 4 neg XY tiles)

CFRAC - Classroom Size Fraction Circle Set – A set of 12 magnetic fraction circles designed for use in classroom presentations on white dry-erase boards. Included are circles representing a range of fractions from a whole unit to fifteenths. Since they're made from magnets, they stick together and make size comparisons easy to demonstrate.

ISAT - Individual Size Algebra Tiles – Four sets of 72 algebra tiles intended for individual use. These tiles are ideal for use with small dry-erase boards or even cookie sheets. They offer the additional benefit of addressing logistical issues in handing out and collecting manipulatives – they stick to the board!

ISATY - Individual Size Algebra Tiles Y Supplement – Four sets of 48 tiles. Each set is a miniature version of the Classroom Y set described above for use by students at their desks.

TANG - Magnetic Tangram Set – 70 piece set of tangrams cut from 12 cm squares in red, green, blue, yellow, and orange.
